Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office

Civil Services

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office Civil Division handles administrative, support, and specialized tasks distinct from the criminal division, focusing on service of legal documents, managing courtroom security, probation and parole, and sex offender registration, and service of civil papers.  The Bailiffs are responsible for ensuring all individuals entering the courthouse are properly screened via metal detectors, and that no disallowed items make their way into the courthouse.  In addition, they are responsible for maintaining order in the courtroom, ensuring the safety of the judges, clerks, offenders, and public who are present in court.   Civil deputies also serve notices and coordinate the physical seizure of property in cases where the court has ordered the LPSO to sell property.
