The Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team (LPNET) is part of a Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force that includes the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ruston Police Department, and Grambling Police Department, with additional assistance of the Louisiana National Guard and the 3rd Judicial District Attorney. The primary responsibility of LPNET is to combat the sale, manufacture, and use of illegal narcotics in Lincoln Parish. With Lincoln Parish lying at the intersection of major north-south and east-west highways, the trafficking of narcotics in and through the parish has become increasing issue. In order to address the source of these narcotics and prosecute local cases federally, LPNET personnel may be temporarily assigned as members of a special DEA task force.
