The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office is responsible for investigating criminal offenses committed in Lincoln Parish. These offenses include white collar and cyber-crimes, homicides, domestic violence crimes, burglaries and thefts. The detectives assigned to this division possess special skills in interviewing, crime scene investigations, warrant preparation, evidence collection and preservation, constitutional issues, and interpersonal relations. They interview witnesses, victims, and suspects in order to build each criminal case they investigate and work closely with prosecutors to obtain a conviction. The detectives also work closely with the School Resource Officers (SOR) to investigate juvenile crimes.
